Halyard has been supplying equipment for superyachts for twenty years and today is a key designer and supplier for both new builds and refit projects, working with such names as Royal Van Lent, Royal Huisman, Vitters, FN Marin, Marina Barcelona and many more. Key to our success has always been the design skill which goes into the very start of the product with concepts agreed and 3D CAD drawings passing between our team and that of the client. We work with motor yachts and sailing yachts to 100m, on engines and generators and on new build as well as refit. Our design and project teams travel the world, on occasion designing components while the yacht is in one port and manufacturing while the vessel is moving to the refit yard where the equipment will be fitted.

Our Products

We design and manufacture dry and wet exhaust silencers, exhaust hose, and exhaust water injection systems to control exhaust noise, with or without water separators, for both propulsion engines and generators. Uniquely, Halyard manufactures the entire exhaust system in house. We make our own stainless, duplex and alloy 625 riser system and water injection spray rings, we make our own marine exhaust hose (and silicon) couplings to connect to the silencer. We manufacture our own GRP filament wound tube and our own GRP silencers. If a dry silencer is used, either by itself or prior to the water injected system, we can also manufacture this in house. All our GRP exhaust components, alongside our silicone and nitrile exhaust hoses, carry Lloyds Register Type Approval.

In the area of pollution control we are also a leader in the developing field of soot burners for large exhaust systems.

Superyachts exhausts are unique to the vessel. The best results are achieved by us understanding the detailed need right from the start, alongside the delicate balance between budget and noise reduction desired. As the work progresses we will be able to quote similar work we have done elsewhere, building a team approach to the project which will include visits and calls from our Senior Project Sales Managers – right through to sea trails and snagging.

Our name has been built on solving problems.
