Halyard has been supplying equipment for commercial craft for thirty years and today is a key supplier for yards across Europe. Be it a wind farm support vessel, a lifeboat, a passenger ferry, a pilot boat or a landing craft for the military, Halyard will be able to help – anywhere in the world. Refit projects, new builds, and quality production names such as Oma of Norway, South Boats of Britain, BAE Vosper, De Haas Maas Luis of Holland, the UK Ministry of Defence or the Indian Coastal Defence force, we help them achieve the low noise levels and robust systems they need. Key to our success has always been the attention we offer individual operators and re-fit projects, be it a simple box of noise insulation or a complete exhaust design for a major re-engining project. We work with commercial craft 10m to 50m, on engines and generators from 5kw to 2,000kw.

Our Products

We design and manufacture exhaust silencers, exhaust hose, and exhaust water injection systems to control exhaust noise, with or without water separators, for both propulsion engines and generators. We also manufacture “dry” silencers and exhaust systems where needed. We manufacture noise insulation material to control airborne noise. We supply the renowned Aquadrive coupling to reduce vibration – and hence structure-borne noise – as well as avoiding engine alignment problems. We manufacture alarm systems to detect overheating exhausts and blocked sea-water strainers. We supply the Wavestream bilge water filtration system, and in the area of pollution control we are a leader in the developing field of soot burners for large exhaust systems.

Our name has been built on manufacturing specials. Be it an exhaust system for a tricky re-engining project, or noise insulation of a special thickness, or an Aquadrive made to suit an older engine or to a specific length, we can handle it.
