DRY SILENCERS

Dry silencers, and dry exhaust systems, form a crucial part of Halyard's work and are used to further reduce the noise reduction achieved with a wet exhaust or alternatively in situations where a wet exhaust is innappropriate.  Halyard designs and manufactures dry silencers, producing sophisticated  noise attenuation and back pressure forecasts, for engines and generators from 200kw to 4,000kw.

Dry silencers can me manufactured from mild or stainless stell or from more sophisticated metals, and designed specifically to suit particular machinery spaces and requirements.  Applications include the installation of dry silencers immediately behind large generators, followed by a conventional wet system and water separation to give the lowest possible noise levels achieveable today.  Dry silencers are also chosen by Halyard for very large engines where a wet system may not be appropriate.  Once again, Halyard brings a deep specialist knowledge to the design, production, supply and installation of dry exhausts.
