NOISE & VIBRATION REDUCTION
Halyard design and manufacture exhaust silencing systems and noise and vibration control products for marine engines from 5hp to 3,000hp, encompassing craft ranging from small sailing yachts to mighty patrol boats and superyachts. In April this year Halyard won the Queen's Award for Enterprise in the Innovation category for the design of world beating engine silencing systems developed to meet new European Noise Legislation.

Halyard will design a system to suit your specific needs built to the highest quality using stainless steel high risers, high temperature GRP silencers using a unique filament tubing, connected with Halyard’s own design of nitrile rubber hose or silicon couplings to provide the ultimate peace of mind.

Aquadrive Vibration Control Couplings
If an engine and shaft are not perfectly aligned, or indeed if they are and the engine is prone to significant vibration, the vibration will travel along the shaft and into the structure of the hull. The Aquadrive CV coupling fits between the engine and the shaft absorbing the vibration and ensuring perfect alignment of the shaft through the stern gland.

Noise Insulation Materials
Cocoon the engine with Halyard Sound Insulation and you can reduce airborne noise by 85% and transform the comfort for all on board. The multi-layer construction used in Halyard materials offer the best possible acoustic results in a range of thicknesses which can be accommodated in the tightest engine space, beating simpler materials many times as thick.

Exhaust Hose & Silicon Bellows
All Halyard exhaust hose and silicon bellows have Lloyds Type approval meeting the most stringent of marine classifications. Our product range starts with Standard MDE Exhaust hose, manufactured in Nitrile rubber and capable of handling temperatures up to 120°C, in diameters from 38mm (1.5”) to 355mm (14”). We also provide a High temperature MDE in equivalent diameters which feature a special liner allowing temperatures up to 160°C and for the ultimate in performance, in both temperature and vibration absorption, we manufacture a complete range of super flexible Silicon couplings (also known as bellows or hump hose). With hose to match these couplings provide the best option in protection and isolation of the exhaust system from engine vibration, available in diameters from 76mm (3”) to 508mm (20”).
