Halyard implements £150,000 Material Requisition Process System

Halyard, Europe’s largest designer and manufacturer of specialist marine exhaust systems has recently installed a fully integrated Microsoft Dynamics Navision system at each of its four sites based in Bournemouth, Salisbury and Portsmouth.

The Microsoft Dynamics Navision system required £150,000 of investment and has provided the company with a complete business management solution. By implementing this significant upgrade of both its software and hardware systems, Halyard has been able to integrate all of its business information from in-house operations, sources of supply and customer details, to product and sales information, production planning and a full inventory. Each of these factors will ensure that Halyard has constant access to a source of accurate, high quality information across all of its sites, resulting in increased efficiency, customer service and production planning.

Jane Turner, Financial Director at Halyard says, “The new Navision system will provide Halyard with an excellent platform for moving the business forward. I’m certain that our customers will be overjoyed. The implementation has been extremely smooth running and will ensure that the company can react quickly and efficiently to its increasingly demanding customer requirements.”

Headquartered in Salisbury, Halyard is now Europe’s largest designer and manufacturer of marine exhaust systems, employing 90 people and concentrating on applications for craft between 15m and 100m. The company won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in 2006, in the Innovation category, for its work in developing new ways to reduce exhaust noise on large powered craft.
